"Single Pointing" or "Single Flushing" = 1 hunter, 1 dog, 6 chukars, 12 shells and 20 minutes

           
“Pair Pointing” or “Pair Flushing” = 1 hunter, 1 dog handler, 1 dog, 6 chukars, 12 shells and 20 minutes


"Team Pointing" or "Team Flushing" = 2 hunters, 1 dog, 8 chukars, 8 shells each and 30 minutes


"Puppy Pointing" or “Puppy Flushing" = 1 hunter, 1 dog under 18 months,  4 chukars, 8 shells and 15 minutes

 
Each dog may run a maximum of two times per division. i.e. two single runs and two team runs.

Dogs can only win one prize per division. Divisions may be combined as needed to provide for competition.

           
ENTRY FEES: Single $120 per run, Pair $120 per run, Team $180 per run, Puppy $70 per run

First Duck Retriever Training June 1 & 2, 2019

 

In these small group sessions we start by throwing bumpers to make sure the dogs will swim in our pond. Then we will introduce the dog to retrieving ducks from the water and get them excited about water retrieving in a variety of scenarios. Finally we will simulate a duck hunt with a call & blank gun and have the dog retrieve the “downed” duck. We will have sessions for Novice dogs 9:00 AM on Sat. 6/1 as well as 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM on Sun. 6/2. For dogs that have already participated in this event we will offer an advanced session on Sat. 6/1 @ 1:00 PM. The advanced session will include multiple retrieves, blind retrieves and the opportunity to practice your own retrieve sequences. The cost for a duck session will be $80 this includes the cost of the ducks. The dog must already be able to competently swim and should have heard gunfire. These sessions are only for training customers. If you need help encouraging your dog to swim contact us to schedule an introductory swimming lesson.
