Water Retrieving and Swimming Introduction >>

  • Our onsite pond was designed and built to teach dogs to swim and practice water retrieving. We do individual and group sessions to teach water retrieving.
  • We offer beginner and advanced retrieving sessions. Beginner concludes with retrieving ducks from a decoy spread.
  • Advanced continues with decoy and blind work and allows for customized exercises. The pond also has a dock built to dog dock diving specifications.

Note from a satisfied client;

"Not only were we new to bird hunting, we were new dog owners. After nine months with a trainer that we became unhappy with, we found Karen at Pheasant Valley Farm.

Karen spent time evaluating where we were with our new dog, how we got there and what our expectations were in moving forward. Her focus was on making us successful – our definition of successful dog owners. She guided us along the way and her instruction was tailored to suit us, she definitely goes above and beyond. Most people only wish they had their dream job Karen is living it and it shows in her dedication to the sport.

The natural beauty of Pheasant Valley Farm and Mark’s graciousness made our experience most inviting. We now have a bird dog that is more than we could have hoped for and friendships that will last a lifetime."
